Selfie while waiting to go into the show!
I was excited to have the opportunity to attend Mercedes Benz Fashion Week this year. The hectic week is over but I have a few shots from my good friend Kobi from Anibok Studios of what I wore! For many the task of choosing what to wear to fashion week is a job, like many of the fashion bloggers I follow, however for me it was fun and I wanted to do something different while it still being practical and classy. Let me know what you think?!
Black Crop Top – ASTR, Faux leather Green Skirt – Leith, Heels – Zara, Clutch – J. Crew, Sunnies – Mui Mui
Okay, as promised, here are some snapshots taken outside of Lincoln Center from Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Day 4. Some are fabulous, some different, others down right crazy!
Above: The quirky duo from Beckerman Blog.
Above: This lovely lady made it a point to let me know she was 77, with no work done and she does not dye her hair. This beauty proves fashion fades, but style is with you always. Love her look!
Above: Me, right, pictured with the lovely Sheryl Luke L.A. fashion blogger from Walk In Wonderland! (She is a sweet as she looks!)
Last but not least, the man behind the lens Kobi from Anibok Studios. Thank you for the awesome pics (coming soon on the blog)
My blog has been on hiatus just because I have been so busy working on other projects, which is actually a good thing because I am working! But yesterday I attended Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center for the Tracy Reese S/S 14 Fashion Show and I couldn’t NOT tell you all about it.
The sounds of Caribbean drummers started the show and played throughout giving the clothes life and movement beyond their already beautiful designs. Tracy Reese is already known for her mix of prints and patterns and this continued with this collection. Ending the show with some all white looks, which anyone who knows me knows, I love wearing white! Check out some highlights from the show and my day below.
Celebrity Stylist June Ambrose was front row! (excuse my blurry shot I had to sneak)
These twins were AMAZING. Loved their look and their walk was so in sync!

Here are some of my recent summer purchases. Can you tell I love color?
Hot Pink & Green Skirts (Solemio Los Angeles from Oh la la boutique’s on Long Island)
Checkered Collared Shirt (H&M)
White Chain Necklace (H&M)
Clutches (American Eagle Outfitters)
Sneakers (Nike Outlet)
All items purchased were on Sale! THE only way to shop
Just a quick dressing room selfie. Even though it is a hot one today in NY, I’ve been running errands and of course got side tracked shopping! Air conditioning is my best friend today! This is my own outfit, leaving the dressing room.
Kurt Cobain T-shirt (H&M), Jeans (J. Crew), Bright Yellow Flats (Old Navy)
New York weather has been really a wash out lately. Heavy Rain and cloudy skies have been a daily occurrence. When the first signs of warm weather roll in people have the tendency to put away all of their winter/fall clothes and whip out the shorts and tanks. The best thing to do though is to keep long sleeve shirts, jackets and some jeans within arms reach, just in case the weather is a tease and rain is on its way!
This outfit pictured is comfortable and casual for a day of shopping on Long Island. I’ve been really into sneakers lately because they are so comfortable but can also look put together with a look like this. Plus these sneakers I got on sale at the Nike outlet in Riverhead recently and the bag is new from H&M!
What are you rainy day essentials?
Jacket (TJ MAXX), T-shirt (Gap), Jeans (old), Bag (H&M), Sneakers (NIKE), Watch and Bangle (Michael Kors)
